Bike Spinning How To’s

If you are new to bike spinning work out, then you must know a few things before you go ahead and join the group.
- First of all, bike spinning work out is a very good cardiovascular work out and this means that if your hear is not in good condition, you must seek medical permission first as this maybe too much an extraneous exercise for your condition.

- Secondly, bike spinning work out is very tiring and very demanding and you need to prepare yourself to be challenged all throughout the session.

- Be also prepared to accept the leading of the instructor because he or she knows exactly how to exercise different group muscles by using bike spinning.

Another consideration is that you have to wear the right kind of shoes for this kind of activity, because the work out can last from 45 minutes to 1 hour and your feet can become sore half way if your not using the right type of shoes.  You also need to strap your feet in the pedal to avoid hurting yourself, because when the speed becomes too fast – your feet may fly and the pedal can hurt your legs.

The work out includes a 10 to 15 minutes warm up exercise to help your blood flowing and ready your body for the task ahead.  The instructor will either choose a music that all of the group members will follow the tempo, usually the music will have a fast tempo with slow portions in the middle to help bikers relax.  During the workout, the instructor will shout the instruction whether to lean forward, put the tension to high or low, sit down, stand up, and lean backward. This is the way most bike spinning work out is done because it ensure that you have a total body workout and not just the legs.

Tips from a old Bike-Spinner:
1) Wear real bike shoes: They are harder and help your foot during the session.

2) Always bike in a slower, heavier tempo: it saves your knees and burns the fat longer after the session is finished!
