Spinning for weight loss

Spinning is one of the best ways to lose weight and get into good physical condition. A spinning bike is a still exercise bicycle which is created differently than the most ordinary exercise bicycles. It has an adjustable handle that lets the rider change the stress on the bicycle pedals thus altering how easy or hard it is to pedal it.

I and my friends have personally been going to spinning classes at our local gym for about 05 years. In the summer we ride our road bike outside, but in the winter it is cold and we often have snow and ice on the roads, so in this condition spinning is the best choice. The classes consist of a teacher and a group of students, normally 20- 25 at the gym. The number is restricted because of floor space and the number of spinning bicycles existing. The trainer often plays music, and usually the beat of the songs changes fairly slow from to fast or fast to fairly slow at times. Students can ride the bicycle in a typical sitting position, but some songs are completed with the group, standing on the pedals.

Atmosphere is the one of the most demanding things about spinning classes. There is music playing during the class, and the lights are turned little. Usually the beat of the songs is diverse, with some songs slow such that a hill climb can be replicated, and others with a faster tempo which is helpful to a race or a quick run. There are quite a lot of different hand positions for standing or sitting. I like to match my pedal beat to the beat of the music on each one song. In that technique it feels as if the music is sort of pulling you all along.

In a spinning class, you can burn a lot of calories. We have an instructor who dresses in a heart rate observer that also calculates calories spent, and she naturally reports having burned 400 calories or more in a 40 minute class. Unnecessary to say, you will be in excellent physical order if you are doing spinning three or four times a week. As for weight loss, people report losing everywhere from a few pounds or kilo grams to over 50 to 100 pounds, depending on the weight loss plan they are following.

Spinning is a low force type of exercise. For people who are heavy and who want to lose pounds, spinning is possibly a better choice than running because there will be less pressure on the bones and joints. Of course the pedal pressure on each bicycle is familiar by the rider who can set it according to the level that is as difficult or as easy as that someone requirements. Because of this, spinning is an excellent way for older to get a good aerobic exercises while working at their own tempo.
